ELYNXO’s GP2M fire control goniometer supporting mortar units in airborne operations
As part of their operational readiness training, paratrooper artillerymen from the 5th Battery of the 35th Parachute Artillery Regiment (35e RAP) conducted a reduced-fire exercise with 120 mm mortars under realistic conditions and high tactical pressure.
The exercise continued with the airborne deployment of two Fardier vehicles by the 1st Parachute Train Regiment (1er RTP), followed by a rapid reorganization of units and a final assault alongside the 11th Parachute Brigade and the French Army.
In this type of airborne maneuver, rapid mortar deployment, firing accuracy and coordinated fire support are critical to mission success.
