Live demonstrations, hands-on experience and valuable operational feedback: ELYNXO presented its VIRTUOSE multifunction optronic monocular at the 2026 French National Infantry Days.
On October 14, 2026, ELYNXO attended the Journées Nationales de l’Infanterie (JNI) in Draguignan, France, an event bringing together military personnel and defence industry representatives to discuss operational requirements and the evolution of infantry equipment.
This year’s edition provided an opportunity to showcase VIRTUOSE, our multifunction optronic monocular designed and manufactured in France, and allow military operators to discover its capabilities first-hand.
VIRTUOSE: From Product Presentation to Hands-On Experience
Throughout the event, military personnel had the opportunity to handle VIRTUOSE at our stand and experience its capabilities during outdoor demonstrations.
These sessions highlighted the system’s main features :
– Direct Daytime Optics: High-transmission optical channel, fully operational without battery power.
– Thermal Imaging: An additional observation capability for night operations and reduced-visibility environments.
– Integrated Laser Rangefinder: Accurate distance measurements up to 3.5 km.
– Target Geolocation and Connectivity: Integrated capabilities supporting target acquisition and information sharing within compatible digital environments.
Weighing just 950 g, VIRTUOSE combines these capabilities within a compact system designed to meet the requirements of military operators in the field.
Valuable Exchanges with Operational Users
Beyond product demonstrations, our participation in JNI 2026 was primarily an opportunity to engage directly with military personnel and gather valuable feedback from the field.
Ergonomics, operational conditions, versatility of observation equipment and integration with existing systems were among the topics discussed throughout the event.
These conversations provided useful insights into the challenges faced by military units and their expectations regarding next-generation optronic equipment.
For ELYNXO, direct interaction with end users is a key part of the development process. It helps ensure that technical choices remain aligned with operational realities while identifying opportunities for future improvements.
Our objective is clear: to develop optronic solutions that meet the real-world requirements of military forces.
French-Made Technology Designed for Operational Efficiency
Designed and manufactured in France by ELYNXO, VIRTUOSE was developed around one central objective: bringing essential observation and target acquisition capabilities together in a single device.
By integrating daytime optics, thermal imaging, laser ranging and digital connectivity, the system aims to reduce the number of devices carried by operators while simplifying information collection and sharing.
Already selected by French Special Forces, VIRTUOSE was also designed with a broader ambition: making advanced multispectral observation capabilities accessible for wider-scale operational deployment.
Its compact design, rugged construction and integrated capabilities reflect ELYNXO’s commitment to delivering practical and high-performance solutions for demanding environments.
Thank You to Everyone We Met at JNI 2026
ELYNXO would like to thank the organisers of the Journées Nationales de l’Infanterie, as well as all the military personnel we met, for their warm welcome, interest and the quality of our discussions.
These valuable exchanges will help us continue developing VIRTUOSE in line with the evolving requirements of operational users.
