Operational Feedback from the 3rd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment
Retour d’expérience opérationnel au sein du 3e Régiment de parachutistes d’infanterie de marine
Within the 3rd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment, precision is not optional. It directly determines the effectiveness of fire support, the safety of engaged units, and the success of the maneuver.
Enlisted in 2020, Corporal-Chief Nans currently serves as a 120 mm mortar gunner within the Reconnaissance and Support Company (CEA). Formerly an 81 mm mortar gunner, he now operates within the 120 mm Heavy Mortar Support Section (SAM 120), where every piece of targeting data is critical.
A Specialty Where Every Degree Counts
Within a heavy mortar section, the gunner is responsible for the precise orientation of the weapon. This demanding role relies on the reliability of measuring instruments and speed of execution, particularly during dynamic actions such as artillery raids.
GP2M Elynxo: A Decisive Operational Asset
Integrated into 120 mm mortar operations, the GP2M Elynxo provides key advantages in the field:
- High pointing accuracy, essential to fully exploit the capabilities of the 120 mm mortar.
- Rapid deployment, enabling faster firing sequences and position changes.
- Reliable measurements, even under degraded conditions (fatigue, stress, adverse weather, low-light environments).
- Ruggedness and endurance, designed for airborne operations and demanding environments.
- Ergonomic and intuitive design, reducing the risk of error and facilitating training and ease of use.
A Force Multiplier for Fire Support
Thanks to its performance, the GP2M directly contributes to the responsiveness and effectiveness of the SAM 120 section. It enhances the command’s ability to deliver precise, rapid, and reliable fire support, closely integrated with the maneuver.
At Elynxo, we design solutions built for real-world operational conditions, in support of those who serve with high standards, precision, and the airborne spirit.
